Edo NagashiBina Festival
March 2nd(SUN)
from 11:30 to around 13:00,
It takes place at Sumida River close to Sakura?Hostel Asakusa.
It is a traditional festival from around 1000 years ago.
The dolls are sent down the river to the sea while praying for the safety and health of children.
So all the bad things are transferred to the paper dolls and sent down the river.
You can buy your own paper doll for 800 yen and send it to the river over the pink slides!
The festival takes around 15 minutes on foot from Sakura Hostel Asakusa or 3 minutes walk from Asakusa Station.
So if you are in Tokyo right now, please don't miss the chance to join this event, it's really traditional and beautiful to watch!
