A sushi was delivered to my door.
Me and my family ordered sushi on a little celebration day.
yes,home-delivered Sushi is quite common in Japan!
this sushi is about for 2 person and cost about 3000 yen.(about 30 USD)
As you know,sushi is kind a expencive meal so we order sushi at a gathering of family and friend or on a celebration day.
What's interesting is that sushi is always delivered with a beautiful Japanese plateware.
usually home-delivered meal are delivered with one-way container but sushi is not.
Because beautiful plateware make sushi looks more yummy?-could be.
For Eco?-Yes, that is a big reason for using same plate even for home-delivered meal,I can say this is a Japanese beautiful tradition.
after eating,we wash plateware and leave it at front door like this to let sushi delivery guy to collect plateware.
Although plate is beautiful and useful,I've never heard that plate has stolen.
That might be the most important point of why we can keep using indisposable plate for home-delivered Sushi :)
