so today I introduceKAWAGOEwhich is only 30 minutes from IKEBUKURO in Tokyo.

KAWAGOE is known...

locally as"Little Edo"(小江戸, Koedo) after the old name for Tokyo, "Edo".
Most of the buildings were dismantled in the 1870s but some remained or were relocated.

The Kurazukuri Streetis lined with traditional warehouses constructed in a style called kurazukuri and maintains the old outlook of what the place was like during the Edo period.

Kawagoe is famous for its sweet potatoes, and on the local "Candy Street" one can find such treats as sweet potato chips, sweet potato ice cream, sweet potato noodle!!

HOWEVER, you shouldn't forget 1 thing when you go to Kawagoe.
There is a local beer in Kawagoe,COEDO.

It is recommended that you go to Kawagoe during staying at Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro!
But even thought you don't have enough time to go there, you still be able to try COEDO at Sakura Cafe Ikebukuro ;)
