Hello, all. This is Yutaka.
Last weekend, some of our foreign guests inquired me at Hotel front desk
for directions to Tomihiro Art Museum in Gunma prefecture.
I was kind of happy to know that foreign tourists are interested in
the art of Mr. Tomihiro Hoshino that much.
He was born in 1946 in Gunma prefecture. He became a junior high school
teacher after graduated from university. Then, in 1970, fateful accident
happened to him and he lost the use of his limb.
What is great about him is he started to draw pictures
on the hospital bed, using a paint brush in
his mouth. Since then, he has created quite many art paintings
with great messages.
Once you see his painting, you never imagine that was drown by mouth.
