It`s days like this that make you want to go to your nearest park or seaside town and spend the day relaxing in the sun~
There are many places that you can visit in Tokyo that will get you close to the sea, one being the lovely island of Odaiba which is connected to Tokyo by the lovely Rainbow bridge. This is a place easily accessabile by train and offers many different activites for everyone to try. For example if you just want to spend the day just shopping and walking through the many shopping centres you can and the fact that one of Japan`s famous television studios is also nearby means that you might bump into some famous (if you recognise them first of course!)
They also have "Palette Town" which is also a mini shopping centre but with a few more arcades and also a ferris wheel that, on a clear day offers amazing views of both the ocean and of course Tokyo itself! For dinner there are of course many different places to choose from, from simple cafes to restaurants whose seats spill out onto the boardwalk at night time. Which is perfect for a romantic dinner with that special someone or even as a nice treat for a friend or family member. ^^
Of course if you don`t mind travelling a little further to feel that sea breeze then you of course have the choice to visit Tokyo Disneyland and/or Disney Sea~ It takes about an hour by train but is relatively cheap from 600 yen per way.
Disneyland of course has Cinderella`s Castle as the main focus point whereas Disney Sea has Big Thunder Mountain jutting out of a massive lake where many festivals will take place and also where pirate ships whill do battle with one another!
Though you can get a joint ticket for both resorts it can get a bit expensive and of course you might not have enough time to explore both parks thoroughly so as a sort of cheat guide that the Japanese also follow, Disneyland is for those families with children and Disney Sea is for dates and the like as only Disney Sea sells alcohol. You can also see this in the type of rides that each park have for example in Disney Sea they have a rather romantic ride in a part of the park which is fashioned to look like Venice and as part of the ride you can ride in a gondola.
Though if you are going as a family it is a lot easier to go to Disneyland as they have more rides than Disney Sea and a lot more of their attractions and suitable for children to ride whereas Disney Sea has more rides aimed at adults and only a few places where children would be able to ride which of course makes it more suitable for teenagers and adults. ^^
But of course a day at any themepark will tire anyone out but if you would still prefer to have a proper meal than something from a convience store then once you have arrived back at the hotel you relax in one of our terrace chairs and let us wait on you! ^^
